What they will never tell you about this FCTFA league, teams must read

Published

About 59 teams have registered and would battle for the 2021/2022 Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCTFA) football league season.

A lot of preparations and funds have been invested by teams into the tournament that started last week Saturday.

However, there are certain things organizers of this tournament have withheld from the public which I will disclose.

ORGANIZERS HAVE ULTERIOR MOTIVE

From my interactions with organizers of this tournament, I have observed that they have ulterior motives that would be known to all with time.

This is however, nothing to worry about. The only one I would reveal is that there are moves for players spotted from the tournament and teams to be recommended to international contacts.

AGENTS ARE AROUND

Unknown to teams, some agents and football managers will be coming around to see players. This could be a defining moment and turning point for a few.

Liverpool working on David Alaba transfer plan after Real Madrid agreement denied

Published

English Premier League title holders Liverpool are now reportedly hoping on the signature of Bayern Munich star David Alaba like never before as he is now not available to their rivals, Real Madrid.

The Reds and the Spanish are both in the chase of the versatile defender and Lons Blancos were tipped to be favourites with an agreement reported but that has now been denied.

The Austria international has refused to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga giants and which means an exit in the summer is inevitable but the club management are still hoping that they can convince him to sign a new deal.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s hope of signing a defender of David Alaba’s calibre is very much alive despite earlier admitting that Liverpool are unlikely to sign a centre-back in the January transfer window, with Fabinho being the only senior option available.

The Club captain Jordan Henderson has now joined Fabinho into central defence as he was drafted at the weekend in the 0-0 draw against Manchester United with Joel Matip still unavailable.

However, there is still a need for a defender in the team, should Fabinho or the club captain also get injured along the season.

Liverpool now stands a better chance after David Alaba’s father, George Alaba denied any agreement is in place with Zinedine Zidane’s side.

And he goes on to open the door for other teams to come in with a bid ahead of the summer transfer window.

“A decision has not yet been made and David has not yet signed with Real. Besides Real, there are other clubs that are interested in him,” he told Sport 1.

“For him what counts is that he wants to concentrate fully on Bayern and his performance.”

It is now left to Liverpool to take advantage of the situation as David Alaba could be available for a free but it has been confirmed that the Reds team will have to invest much to land him, owing to his worth and value.

The Merseyside outfit were hit with the coronavirus pandemic and are set to announce a loss of about £100 million, making the club unfit to spend big in this January winter transfer window.
