Roman Abramovich keen on return of 24-goal star player to Stamford Bridge

Football journalist Dean Jones reports that Chelsea are making some moves to bring back Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge as Roman Abramovich is a huge admirer of the centre-forward.

According to Jones claims the Blues owner is a huge admirer of Romelu Lukaku and will be happy to have him again at Chelsea if they can’t get Erling Haaland this summer.

Speaking on The Football Terrace, Jones said, “Abramovich is also a huge admirer of Lukaku, they’d be perfectly happy if Haaland wasn’t to come to sign Lukaku. That’s also going to be really difficult, I’m not saying that it’s going to be straight forward.

“But that is on the backburner, it’s being worked on in the background.

Speaking earlier on why he left Chelsea, Lukaku said “Everyone says it is Mourinho’s fault, but it is not his fault because I made the decision. I went to his office to ask if I could go.

“He was the first one to say, ‘Good luck.’ When I signed the deal [at Everton] at 11 o’clock, I got a text message on my old BlackBerry.

“It said: ‘Good luck, do your best and I will see you next season.’

“He was the first, nobody knows that and that is why for me he gets immense respect.”

Meanwhile, Lukaku’s agent Federico Pastorello has come out today to pour cold water on the rumours linking his client to a return to the Premier League.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided what was said by the Belgian International’s agent on his Twitter account.

His tweet read: “There’s absolutely no problem with Inter. Romelu is on holiday.”

Speaking in June before the start of Euro 2020, the ex-Manchester United forward confirmed his intentions to stay and play under new manager Simone Inzaghi.

“Yes, I am staying,” he told Dutch broadcaster VTM.

He added that “I’ve already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.

“There’s also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.

Conor Gallagher sends message to Thomas Tuchel as loan move nears

Published

Conor Gallagher is set to be loaned out by Chelsea again with Newcastle in talks ongoing.

Conor Gallagher insists he is ready to kick on even more and is “nowhere near” the player he wants to be as he prepares to get sent out on loan again.

The midfielder is currently in pre-season training with Thomas Tuchel’s side ahead of the new season after spending last season on loan at West Brom, who were relegated to the Championship.

Gallagher insists: “I’ve loved every loan I’ve been on. It’s been great meeting new people, playing with different players and under different managers. It’s all about getting different experiences.

“With Sam at West Brom, it was more about the dirty side and doing that well, whereas at Swansea it was about runs in behind and creating chances.

“Each manager has helped improve different areas of my game.

“I’ve improved as a player in the past two years, and a lot of that is down to the four managers I’ve played under. I want to push on even more now.”

Gallagher added: “I think of myself as an all-round midfielder.

“I know defensive intelligence is something I can improve on so I’ve been working on that. I’ve been told I need to get better at that so I’m focusing on it.

“I’m only 21 so I feel like I’ve gained a lot of experience already. It’s still just the start. I’m nowhere near where I want to be. I know I can go even further.”

With the calibre of recruitments Thomas Tuchel plans to make, there will be little or no chance for youth players in the team for the new season as he is keen on winning the Premier League by closing the gap on last season’s winners.

Thomas Tuchel joined the West London outfit in the middle of last season and was able to deliver the Champions League title.

Chelsea told they don’t need this player

West London outfit Chelsea are reportedly keen on the signature of Wolves winger Adama Traore this summer, but Football London’s Blues correspondent Sam Inkersole holds the opinion that they don’t need him.

The 25-year-old was part of Luis Enrique’s Spain squad at Euro 2020, making just one substitute appearance in the 5-0 win against Slovakia. He played as a winger and a wing-back, giving him the versatile advantage, the reason why the Blues team are still keen.

In his 140 Premier League appearances for Wolves, Traore has scored seven goals and provided 14 assists with his attributes including pace and power, but Chelsea correspondent Sam Inkersole thinks the Wolves man is hit and miss.

Sam Inkersole doesn’t believe that the club necessarily has to move for Traore as they have an abundance of talent that can play on the wing, including the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount.

“You can get him on a good day, he’s borderline unstoppable, you just can’t deal with him.

“But then on other games he can be anonymous, but then again that can happen to any footballer I suppose.

“Chelsea don’t need him, they’ve got a plethora of attacking midfielders, wingers at the club already.

“I don’t think it’s a move that Chelsea really need to be making, unless it’s a good deal”.

However, the West London club are keen on the signature of Borussia Dortmund starker, Erling Haaland as he is Thomas Tuchel’s top target for the window but the deal has proven to be difficult for the club.

Borussia Dortmund are not interested in losing the striker and they will do all it takes to reject offers for his signature.

It is understood that he has told his friends that he would remain with the Bundesliga outfit for at least one more season before considering any move.

Bundesliga expert gives Chelsea big secret on how to land Erling Haaland

Published

Chelae are currently sweating to land Erling Halaand from Borussia Dortmund as he is the top target for manager Thomas Tuchel this summer window but they have been helped with words from Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft on how to get the deal done.

A major issue with the deal is the £150million outright transfer fee of the player but Jan Aage Fjortoft said Chelsea can raise at least half the funds they need to sign the young striker by selling three first-team players.

The Blues’ proposal has been turned down but Borussia Dortmund this week, according to reports.

It is understood that the West London outfit proposed an offer of Tammy Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi and cash to sign the 20-year-old.

Fjortoft believes if Chelsea sold Abraham, Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech, then signing Haaland would make complete sense for a host of reasons.

“I still think there is a chance that this could happen,” Fjortoft told ESPN FC.

“If you see it from the point of view of Chelsea, the management of Chelsea, because it’s not like you can always just give a call to [Roman] Abramovich and say ‘we need this money, we need this player’.

“If you have a look at them with Tammy Abraham, Hudson-Odoi, Ziyech – they will probably get, shall we say they will probably get half for Haaland in transfers fees from other clubs? Some desperate clubs at the end of the transfer period.

“So they have players to sell as well, so I think this could be a good business case for them and then we haven’t even started on how much they will be earning from being a Premier League contender and maybe winning the Premier League.

“So I think this is the perfect striker for them.”

Fjortoft however, added that it remains to be seen if Haaland would be willing to move to Chelsea, with clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona also interested.

“Just last thing is, we haven’t talked about Team Haaland,” Fjortoft continued.

“Does Erling Haaland want to go to Chelsea? Well, if you see that there is someone up for it so much that they are going to break the bank to get him, I think this would be a very good deal for everybody involved.”
