Rio Ferdinand has an issue with Eduardo Camavinga’s reported move to United

Man United have been tipped to win the signature of Eduardo Camavinga this summer transfer window after he was mentioned as a major target for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer .

This is a major worry for the Red Devils legend, Rio Ferdinand who fears Eduardo Camavinga might make his dream move to Man United and have a drastic reduction in his game time.

The 18-year-old has to leave Rennes this summer transfer window or they risk losing him for free next year.

Popular transfer guru Fabrizio Romano had recently confirmed that United will try and sign Camavinga this summer to avoid competition for his services in 2022.

However, informal talks have been held with his representatives and reportedly could wrap up a deal for £25.7million (€30m).

He has attracted other top European clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid with his impressive performance so far.

However, Rio Ferdinand feels if Camavinga does join United, he’d be the latest in a string of youthful signings the club has made under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

You may recall Amad Diallo, who arrived from Atalanta in January, but cannot boast of satisfactory minutes in the first team.

Speaking on his Vibe with Five podcast, Ferdinand questioned whether Camavinga would also struggle for game time in Solskjaer’s squad.

“I’ve seen a bit of him. I saw his debut where he got man of the match against PSG – unreal.

“He’s got talent, obviously, but is he going to come in and affect the team right now?

“Or is he going to be like an Amad, nowhere near starting XI at the moment?”

Amad joined United earlier this year and has shone for the under-23 side, scoring four goals and registering three assists in just three games.

He made just eight appearances – and two starts – for the first team, though, scoring his first goal for the club against AC Milan in the Europa League.

With the coming of Jadon Sancho, first-team games will be more scarce for Eduardo Camavinga , meaning his move to Man United will be one for the future.

Legend ignores Man Utd, names six teams that can win champions league

Danny Murphy

Experienced legend, Danny Murphy has listed the six clubs he thinks can win the Champions League this season.

His list include title holders Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. However, Manchester United was not mentioned.

Danny Murphy predicts English clubs could be a dominant force in Europe this campaign, with Chelsea hoping to defend the title they won after beating Manchester City in last season’s champions league final.

For Liverpool, they reached successive Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019 and would be eager to challenge for another this seasonn.

Danny Murphy insists Manchester City are one of the favorites as with Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, PSG and Atletico Madrid.

Asked which teams he expects to challenge for the Champions League title, Murphy told MailSport:

“I personally think the winners will come from one of six – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

“Atletico are an outsider because Diego Simeone has matchwinners in Luis Suarez and Griezmann in addition to the remarkable team spirit he’s fostered.”

Why Man Utd may not win trophy

Rio Ferdinand, has said the Manchester United inexperience could stop themfrom winning the Champions League this season.

Man United manager has brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer, as he seeks to win his first title at Old Trafford.

However, the team have not won any silverware since the Europa League final in 2017.

Their rivals, Liverpool and Chelsea have won both the Premier League and Champions League while Manchester City have won last season’s fina, their third league title in four years under experienced coach Pep Guardiola.

“I think Man United’s not a problem, but where they’re behind the other three English teams, is the experience of winning things.

“All the other three English teams have won things, whether it be the Champions League or the Premier League. Man United have yet to do that as this group.

“That’s where they are lacking, and that’s where they’ve got to play catch up and they’ve got to do that this season. The transfer window for them has been impeccable, but that’s got to translate into trophies,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.

What Solskjaer said about Man Utd 2-1 defeat to Young Boys

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lambasted his side following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on yesterday.

Manchester United began their Champions League campaign with a shock loss to Young Boys.

The Red Devil took the lead when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his third goal since he returned to Old Trafford.

Later on, the game turned around after Aaron Wan-Bissaka received a straight red card for his challenge on Christopher Martins.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lay blames on his team following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on Tuesday.

The Switzerland side eventually drew level, thanks to Moumi Ngameleu’s strike.

The match should have been a draw but Lingard tried to find David de Gea but his pass found Theoson Siebatcheu.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seriously warned his squad that they must learn from their mistakes if they are to avoid an early exit from the championship competition.

“A lack of concentration, you make a mistake and you get done. We did that last year, conceding two sloppy counter-attacks against Basaksehir and lost that game in the last seconds today.

“So we know we’ve given ourselves a more difficult task. We did last year when everyone thought we were through after two games.

“You need 10 or 12 points: win your home games and one away from home. We’ve lost the opportunity to get three points, but we’ve got two home games next and got to focus on those two,” Solskjaer said after the game.
