Paul Pogba reveals why Mino Raiola wants him to leave United

Published

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revealed by his agent, Mino Raiola wants him out of the club.

The World Cup winner has been out of favour this season, having sat on the bench for some games but that seems to have changed.

His agent Mino Raiola went one step further by confirming Pogba was indeed unhappy at United, adding that he should be allowed to leave in January.

“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United, said Raiola. “Paul is unhappy with Man United as he is no longer able to express himself in the way that he would like and as he is expected to.

“Paul needs a new team, a change of air. He is under contract for the next 18 months and it will expire in the summer of 2022. However, I think that the best solution for both Pogba and Man United is that he goes in the next transfer window.

“If not, the Old Trafford club know that they risk losing him on a free transfer as it is not Paul’s intention to extend his contract. Manchester United board know the risk losing Pogba for free given the player has no intention of extending.

“If somebody does not understand that, then they do not understand football. In any case, let them blame me if Paul leaves.” He added.

However, Paul Pogba confirmed that he was really unhappy with the lack of playing time because he is a winner and always wants to win. He opened up on how much he “hates” being benched.

Pogba was eventually returned to the United starting XI in earlier December and impressed for the Red Devils in their win over West Ham. With his consistency, he can now boast of a place in Solskjaer’s team, not forgetting his goal in the win over Burnley that lifted them to the top of the table.

Now, Paul Pogba said he is happy “I’m always happy when I win,” announced Pogba.

“Obviously today we won so I’m very happy. I’m happy we played well and happy we are at the top. But like I said, it’s still a long way to go, there are big games coming up, so we have to focus on that, too.”

Pogba has now spoken out about the period earlier in the season, when he was being left out by Solskjaer, admitting he “hated” it.

“I’ve been feeling very good in myself, physically and mentally as well. I’ve been playing and when you’re playing, you get your form,” Pogba told Sky Sports.

“It’s a huge difference when you start one game and don’t start another one, or if you don’t start for a few games. Obviously, the team helped the players to be in good form, we’ve been playing very well. The players and the staff have been playing me, trusting me.

“I have to focus in myself and give my best. On the left, on the right, in the middle, striker, defender, anything. As long as I’m on the pitch I give my best and as much as I can do to help my team. I hate to be on the bench, I don’t like it. It doesn’t mean that other players don’t deserve to be playing but for myself, I don’t like it.

“I’m a winner, I just want to play football and help my team. When I’m on the bench and I don’t come on, I feel like I can’t help my team-mates so I feel bad and I don’t like it.”

What Roy Keane said to Dean Henderson revealed

The Red Devils legend Roy Keane has spoken of the dangers for goalkeeper Dean Henderson if he continues to stay with Man United without regular playing time.

Roy Keane argues that a promising goalkeeper like the England international needs to be seen regularly in games and that might not be given to him at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils legend is not the first to make such a claim, as England national team manager Gareth Southgate already gave his advice by stating that Dean Henderson must secure regular playing time at his club before he can stand the chance of playing for the country.

Dean Henderson had made attempts to leave Manchester United but the club’s chiefs are not ready to lose a player with such top quality and ended up securing a new and improved deal for him to remain at the club.

The 23-year-old will only have the opportunity of stepping in between the sticks if David de Gea picks up an injury as the Spanish goalkeeper has been established as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one.

According to Roy Keane, a player who starred in two loan spells at Sheffield United deserves better than a second choice goalkeeper at the Old Trafford as he laments that there are no chances he would be leaving anytime soon after signing a new deal at the club.

Keane said “It’s a nightmare scenario for him. He wants to play for Man United, of course, he does. Being in goal for Sheffield United and Man United every week is completely different, but he had to go back. Ole wanted to see him and work with him closely. You want to get better by playing the games, you can do all the training sessions you want, but if you’re not playing every week, the kid’s going to go backwards – and that’s going to cost him, ultimately.

“For example, if [Jordan] Pickford has a difficult spell – which he always seems to be, in my eyes – then it’s probably difficult for Gareth [Southgate] to go and pick a goalkeeper who’s not playing regularly.

“It’s a difficult situation for Henderson. Come January, do United really want to let him go out on loan. I don’t think so, because then they need cover for De Gea in case something happens to him.”

Meanwhile, Dean Henderson will remain a major part of the England national team as his reputation speaks well for him.

Manchester United planning move for 23-year-old attacking midfielder

Published

Manchester United are long-term suitors of Bournemouth versatile midfielder David Brooks and they are already planning to bring him to Old Trafford to beat other interested clubs.

The Red Devils might be planning for the departure of France international Paul Pogba with this move as the World Cup winner is obviously unhappy.

The former Juventus midfielder has also fueled speculations of his move away from Old Trafford on several occasions, alongside his representatives with Real Madrid and Juventus considering the option of cashing in on him.

Man United have succeeded in extending the contract of the France international to the summer of 2021 but that does not mean he would not leave the club if he desires and the right offer is tabled.

The 23-year-old is no doubt an interesting talent that could fill the gap and also prove to be a future of the club knowing that he is very much younger.

David Brooks was out of action in most of the games last season due to injury as he had just nine games which can be traced t why the Cherries suffered relegation to the Championship.

Missing out of action in most games last season does not rule out David Brooks as a great player and that has not reduced the interest in him by several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool are also believed to be interested in the signature of David Brooks, alongside Everton and Leicester City with his return to the top flight being discussed.

His quality was hailed and confirmed by Man United legend Ryan Giggs who claims the 23-year-old has all it takes to play at the biggest stage.

“He wasn’t available for the first game, but it was great for him to join up later in the week and start the second game,” said Giggs. “He’s a very talented player. He ended the season playing a lot of games, but it’s a long time out.

“I’ve seen there’s speculation about a lot of players. Brooksy’s obviously a talented player and now Bournemouth are in the Championship. I’ve always said it’s better if the lads are playing, and the higher the standard the better as well. But that isn’t always a given.” He added.

David Brooks could be the latest Bournemouth star to part ways with the club as long as the right offer is submitted with Man United keen to land him in the summer transfer window.

Solskjaer given transfer orders

Man United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reportedly given an order to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to offload a trio of players if he must land a new central defender.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen on a central defender to partner Harry Maguire after he failed to invest in that area in the last summer transfer window. Now they have reportedly set their eyes on Jules Kounde from Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.

The Red Devils have been told that Jules Kounde will cost them a £60 m fee which means they will have to cash in from the sale of some players before anything positive can happen.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has, therefore, been instructed by Ed Woodward to do away with three out-of-favour players at Old Trafford.

The club outcast, Sergio Romero tops the list alongside Phil Jones. There are assurances that the first duo could leave before the end of the transfer deadline.

Jules Kounde is also on the radar of other clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus which means Man United must do more to be able to land him.

Sergio Romero has already told the club he wants to leave after going down the pecking order.

He was stopped from a move to Everton in the summer and his wife blasted the club for that “Sergio Romero worked hard for his club.

The last trophy they won, they lifted it with him. He helped the team [reach] 4 finals/semifinals, and then he was left on the bench only to lose them all. It is time to return the opportunity and let him go. RESPECT FOR ONCE.” She wrote on her social media page.

“He said to me: ‘Look, now the season is over and everyone has a few days off. Then we go to play the Europa League… I’m not going to count on you because you haven’t trained for four months’.”

He added on his future plans: “My idea is also to try to stay at Estudiantes. I played a game, got injured and all of this happened.

“That is why I will see in September if the loan can be extended and continue for a few more months.”
