‘Let’s see’: Fabrizio Romano makes claim about next Man United signing

Popular transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano has given a hint that Manchester United could still bolster their options at right-back as their next summer signing.

The Red Devils have already signed Tom Heaton , Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and are set to unveil defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast last week, Romano said: “They have Sancho and after Varane so now they will go potentially for a right-back.

“Let’s see what happens with Diogo Dalot if he is potentially leaving the club to join AC Milan. There is no agreement reached yet.

“I want to clarify for Manchester United and [their pursuit of a] midfielder it’ll be an opportunity.

“I see a lot of questions about [Leon] Goretzka, Saul [Niguez], [Eduardo] Camavinga… They are informed on these players but it’s not a priority now.”

Saul Niguez has been tipped by some pundits as the one that could make a move to Man United as long as the right offer is submitted for his signature.

His agent Jonathan Barnett, who is also Gareth Bale’s representative, has spoken publicly about a potential move for his Spanish client this summer stating that he will do what is best for him.

“Nothing has been decided, Saul has as many options to stay as to leave,” he said, speaking to Diario AS.

“Saul will do with his future what is best for Saul.”

Howbeit, the Red Devils will focus on sorting out the future of Paul Pogba before deciding on whom to bring in as a replacement, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to keep the France international.

The Norwegian boss has already hinted that the club is in talks with the former Juventus midfielder as the club wants him to sign a new deal, else he would be sold if he must not leave the club for free next summer transfer window.

Legend ignores Man Utd, names six teams that can win champions league

Danny Murphy

Experienced legend, Danny Murphy has listed the six clubs he thinks can win the Champions League this season.

His list include title holders Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. However, Manchester United was not mentioned.

Danny Murphy predicts English clubs could be a dominant force in Europe this campaign, with Chelsea hoping to defend the title they won after beating Manchester City in last season’s champions league final.

For Liverpool, they reached successive Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019 and would be eager to challenge for another this seasonn.

Danny Murphy insists Manchester City are one of the favorites as with Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, PSG and Atletico Madrid.

Asked which teams he expects to challenge for the Champions League title, Murphy told MailSport:

“I personally think the winners will come from one of six – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

“Atletico are an outsider because Diego Simeone has matchwinners in Luis Suarez and Griezmann in addition to the remarkable team spirit he’s fostered.”

Why Man Utd may not win trophy

Rio Ferdinand, has said the Manchester United inexperience could stop themfrom winning the Champions League this season.

Man United manager has brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer, as he seeks to win his first title at Old Trafford.

However, the team have not won any silverware since the Europa League final in 2017.

Their rivals, Liverpool and Chelsea have won both the Premier League and Champions League while Manchester City have won last season’s fina, their third league title in four years under experienced coach Pep Guardiola.

“I think Man United’s not a problem, but where they’re behind the other three English teams, is the experience of winning things.

“All the other three English teams have won things, whether it be the Champions League or the Premier League. Man United have yet to do that as this group.

“That’s where they are lacking, and that’s where they’ve got to play catch up and they’ve got to do that this season. The transfer window for them has been impeccable, but that’s got to translate into trophies,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.

What Solskjaer said about Man Utd 2-1 defeat to Young Boys

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lambasted his side following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on yesterday.

Manchester United began their Champions League campaign with a shock loss to Young Boys.

The Red Devil took the lead when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his third goal since he returned to Old Trafford.

Later on, the game turned around after Aaron Wan-Bissaka received a straight red card for his challenge on Christopher Martins.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lay blames on his team following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on Tuesday.

The Switzerland side eventually drew level, thanks to Moumi Ngameleu’s strike.

The match should have been a draw but Lingard tried to find David de Gea but his pass found Theoson Siebatcheu.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seriously warned his squad that they must learn from their mistakes if they are to avoid an early exit from the championship competition.

“A lack of concentration, you make a mistake and you get done. We did that last year, conceding two sloppy counter-attacks against Basaksehir and lost that game in the last seconds today.

“So we know we’ve given ourselves a more difficult task. We did last year when everyone thought we were through after two games.

“You need 10 or 12 points: win your home games and one away from home. We’ve lost the opportunity to get three points, but we’ve got two home games next and got to focus on those two,” Solskjaer said after the game.
