Journalist confirms Arsenal’s interest in this creative midfielder

Published

English Premier League outfit Arsenal have been linked with a move for the signature of Norwich playmaker, Emiliano Buendia with a move expected before the end of the window.

The North London outfit have struggled at the start of the season as a result of the lack of creative players in the team which forced manager Mikel Arteta to consider bringing in one in this winter window.

Popular football journalist, Fabrizio Romano has now stated that the North London club are ‘working’ and are ‘in contact’ with the player’s agent.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, the transfer specialist said:

‘He is appreciated and they’re working with their scouts, going many miles to scout him. They are in contact with the agent, but they are still waiting to sell players because if you don’t sell players in this market, it is impossible to sign new ones.’

This confirms Arsenal’s interest in the Norwich star but it is yet to be seen if Miel Arteta will give his nod to him as the Gunners are linked with a number of creative players.

The North London club has been told that Emiliano Buendia will cost about £40 million and that could be a stumbling block to the deal happening.

Meanwhile, the player in a recent interview said he is only focused on helping Norwich return to the Premier League.

“It is the best league in the world, it is the one that makes the difference at all levels. Any team makes life difficult for anyone, it is very complicated. Their organisational level is perfect, the stadiums have a lot of history, the conditions for playing football are ideal, there are no excuses.

“And the players and the teams are the best. I aspire to the best and work every day to get back to it, either in my team or through a transfer. Returning to the Premier in the short term is a dream.
It is true that there was a lot of talk in the summer, after relegation, about the possibility that both I and other teammates could leave the team to continue in the Premier League.

Ian Wright passes verdit on player linked with Arsenal

Arsenal icon Ian Wright has hailed young right-back Djed Spence who is linked to a potential transfer to the Gunners this month.

Spence, 21, is currently on-loan at Nottingham Forest from Middlesbrough and has impressed in his time at the City Ground so far, winning over fans with his ability both on and off the ball.

His performance, when he faced Arsenal for Forest in the third round of the FA Cup earlier this month, managing to keep Gabriel Martinelli quiet throughout the game speaks for him.

Now he has been linked with a move to Arsenal while Italian clubs AS Roma and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring his progression for a potential move.

Former Gunners striker and icon Ian Wright has already had his say on the full-back, coming in for plenty of praise on the Wrighty’s House podcast.

He said: “I saw him after the game and said ‘listen, my friend. You’re on loan from Middlesbrough and I don’t know what’s happened there, because if you can’t get into the Middlesbrough side, I don’t know what’s wrong, so I need to know the full story’.

“But let me say, that was one of the best right back performances I have seen for a very long time. A very long time.

“If we are talking about right-backs performing at an unbelievable level, we’re talking Reece James and Trent [Alexander-Arnold].

“But I have not seen a combative, technical, swashbuckling performance like that for a very long time.

“I said to him afterwards, ‘whatever’s happening, whatever you’re doing, the level you’ve just shown us here is the level you have to be consistently hitting, Djed’.

“I said ‘All seriously, that level what I saw there, you should be in the Premier League’.”

Arsenal told this target will cost much but will be an amazing addition

Arsenal has been told by Kevin Phillips that Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans would cost them much but he will be “an amazing” signing for them.

The 2000 European Golden Shoe winner, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 24-year-old would “walk into most teams in the Premier League.”

The north London club is looking at a number of options as they are obviously short in the midfield. The club has recently sent Ainsley Maitland Niles out on loan to Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma while Granit Xhaka received a red card and will be available for a game.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the potential arrival of Tielemans, Phillips said: “He’d be an amazing signing.

“I think he’s an amazing player. He’d walk into most teams in the Premier League.

“The way Arsenal play, he’d suit them. Arteta wants them to play out from the back and Tielemans is very comfortable on the ball.

“It would cost them a lot of money to get him out of Leicester but it’d probably be worth it. He is a signing that they need. They need extra quality in that area.

“I think he’d be a great signing for Arsenal. It’d be a major blow for Leicester.”

The Belgium international has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium so it is still a 50:50 chance for Arsenal.

Rangnick might be leaving the door open for Arsenal to land United star with latest development at Old Trafford

Published

on

Latest development at Old Trafford hints that Arsenal could simply land Anthony Martial with less challenge if not well managed by interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Just recently, Rangnick accused the Frenchman, who is keen to leave the club because of lack of game time, of refusing to be in the squad to play.

Rangnick said “He [Anthony Martial] didn’t want to be in the squad.

“He would have been in the squad normally but he didn’t want to and that was the reason why he didn’t travel with us yesterday.”

In his reaction, Martial hit back at those claims, saying: “I will never refuse to play a match for Manchester United.

“I’ve been here for 7 years and I never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and the fans.”

While the wide-man’s stance seems clear for his future, situations like this could prompt his move whether that ends up being at the Emirates or not.

Arsenal are keen on a forward as they are not sure of the future of Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may not play for the club again.

Also the fact that Nicolas Pepe has not been at his best with lack of consistent performance makes a move for Martial valid.

Arsenal told existing midfielder not strong enough, reason why this signing must happen

Published

Former Arsenal man, Kevin Campbell has told the North London outfit that they need to sign Yves Bissouma because Albert Sambi Lokonga is not strong enough for the Premier League yet.

Bissouma has been on the Gunners’ radar for a long time now as the Malian continues to impress at Brighton.

Some reports have claimed he could join a top club soon enough and Arsenal could be the ideal next step for him.

Mikel Arteta is particular about a midfielder, having hinted that he is short in that position but who he will be bringing in remains unknown.

Campbell said the Brighton midfielder is best and would end up as a good buy for the Gunners.

He told Football Insider: “I think Arsenal need two midfielders though, if I am honest with you.

“Lokonga is a good young player but he is not strong enough to be a mainstay in that midfield yet. We need some experience in there.

“Bissouma is young and has experience. I think they need another one as well though. Bissouma would make us so much stronger for the second half of the season.”

Verdit passed over English defender at Arsenal

Published

Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips has claimed he is unsure Calum Chambers is a player for the future at Arsenal.

While hailing the player for proving critics wrong with his recent performance with the opportunity handed to him, the former striker said he can relied upon by manager Mikel Arteta but doesn’t think he has a future at the Emirates Stadium.

Phillips also praised the England international for silencing his doubters with Thursday’s showing.

“Credit to Chambers, because it hasn’t been an easy ride for him at Arsenal,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“He’s come in for a bit of criticism over the years, but all you can do when you get on that pitch is try and ram those comments back down people’s throats. He’s done exactly that at Anfield.

“Arteta is trying to create something at Arsenal with the spirit after stripping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of the captaincy. He really means business, and he wants his players to reflect that as well.

“Chambers really rose to the challenge against Liverpool, he was brilliant. Is he the future of Arsenal? I’m not so sure, but he’s a player Arteta can rely on.”

Chambers has started just two league games for Arsenal this season among five appearances in all competitions.

Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal to beat Aston Villa in their race for the signature of Brighton’s Yves Bissouma this January winter transfer window.

The North London outfit want a midfielder, especially as Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny are away on national assignments for the African Nations Cup.

Mikel Arteta admitted that he is short in the midfield and wants to have at least, an addition.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the 25-year-old would make Mikel Arteta’s side “so much stronger” as Aston Villa are reportedly willing to sign him for £40 million.

Campbell wants the London club to meet Brighton’s valuation for the player this month.

“Don’t mess around Arsenal,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“This is a move that has been spoken about for 18 months and I think we will do it. Just do the deal. Go and get him in. Pay the £40million.

“I think Arsenal need two midfielders though, if I am honest with you.

Martin Keown urges Arsenal to sign “awesome” winger capable of replacing Pepe

Published

on

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has urged manager Mikel Arteta and Edu to sign “awesome” Wolves winger Adama Traore.

He has been linked with arch-rivals Tottenham as he is out of contract at Molineux in 2023.

Spurs are keen on signing Traore on loan until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy, according to the Telegraph.

For Arsenal, he is tipped to perfectly replace Nicolas Pepe who has been struggling to maintain a consistent performance for the club since his big money move.

According to Keown, the winger is perfect for the Gunners, knowing he already has an idea of the English Premier League.

Wolves reportedly want around £20million for the winger, a drop from the £50m that was requested last summer.

There are suggestions that the player will not renew his contract at the Premier League club, meaning they could cash in on him this month.

And former Arsenal defender Keown has urged Mikel Arteta to strike a deal for Traore.

“I feel Traore is awesome at times and just for once, we have the satisfaction of seeing it,” Keown told BBC Final Score.

“It’s a lovely finish from him. I’d sign him if I was a manager. Arsenal – get in and buy him.”

Arsenal told this signing will take the club to the next level

Published

Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has told Arsenal that the signing of Dusan Vlahovic will take the club to “the next level”.

Arsenal seek to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Fiorentina striker has been named as a good fit.

The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, is positive that the striker will be able to replicate his incredible goalscoring form in the Premier League.

“He’s only 21, and for club and country, he has one in two, I mean, wow,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“It would be one hell of a statement. It would be a massive statement for them.

“Arsenal have really picked up this season and putting a striker like that in the team might take them to that next level.

“I think they have been looking a bit toothless in front of goal at times.

“They are missing that top-quality striker that the other big six teams have.

“If they get this guy, and I think they can, it would be a massive, massive signing for them.

“He looks deadly and if he’s scoring that many goals in Italy there is a good chance he can do it in England as well.”
