Good news for Chelsea fans, Dortmund wants to sell Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland

According to McGarry Dortmund are willing to sell but will only accept a cash fee of €150 million which could be difficult for the Blues to invest but this is the time for club owner, Roman Abramovich to showcase his wealth and prove he really ants Erling Haaland as widely reported.

Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast earlier this week, McGarry said: “Elsewhere on Chelsea’s list of course, as we’ve consistently reported ahead of anyone else, is their interest in Erling Haaland.

“The Borussia Dortmund striker has an outrageous record of goals per game in terms of ratio.

“It’s our understanding that Timo Werner, who it’s safe to say did not enjoy a very good debut season at Stamford Bridge, was offered as part of a deal for Haaland.

“Therefore, obviously, negating part of the fee in terms of the quite substantial amount Dortmund are quoting for Haaland in excess of €150m at this point.

“I’m told that Werner unlike [Kai] Havertz hasn’t adapted well to life in England. He has not assimilated himself necessarily very well. He’s an introverted character. Havertz is extroverted. Even though he has the safety net of having Havertz as an international team-mate and other players like Antonio Rudiger, it just hasn’t happened for him.

“I’m told Dortmund want cash only. That’s not really a surprise Werner was offered because the club know they’ve got a difficult task ahead of them to get him into form and the player himself needs to convince himself that is going to happen for him.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea are offering Timo Werner as part of deal to land the Norwegian striker as manager Thomas Tuchel has made the 21-year-old his top target in a bid to bolster his attacking options ahead of his first full season in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Timo Werner scored six goals and made eight assists in 35 games in the Premier League for Chelsea FC last season but Thomas Tuchel is not convinced of his attacking influence.

Chelsea player that is “a killer” revealed

Romelu Lukaku

Former prolific midfielder, Joe Cole, has revealed that in Romelu Lukaku, The blues now have a “killer” in their squad who will score more goal.

Romelu Lukaku scored the only goal as Chelsea began their Champions League campaign with a slim 1-0 victory over Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday.

That was Romelu Lukaku fourth goal in four matches since returning to Stamford Bridge in a £98million deal from Inter Milan this summer.

Joe Cole has accepted the fact that Romelu Lukaku was not at his best against Zenit, but said his powerful nature makes him the perfect man to lead the team under Thomas Tuchel.

“I’m going to throw this out there, I think he’ll be top scorer in the Champions League this season.

“Lukaku didn’t even have one of his better games, he was a little bit scruffy but he’s a finisher now, a killer. Once that ball was delivered there was only going to be one winner, he’s a great finisher,” Cole said on BT Sport.

Legend ignores Man Utd, names six teams that can win champions league

Danny Murphy

Experienced legend, Danny Murphy has listed the six clubs he thinks can win the Champions League this season.

His list include title holders Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. However, Manchester United was not mentioned.

Danny Murphy predicts English clubs could be a dominant force in Europe this campaign, with Chelsea hoping to defend the title they won after beating Manchester City in last season’s champions league final.

For Liverpool, they reached successive Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019 and would be eager to challenge for another this seasonn.

Danny Murphy insists Manchester City are one of the favorites as with Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, PSG and Atletico Madrid.

Asked which teams he expects to challenge for the Champions League title, Murphy told MailSport:

“I personally think the winners will come from one of six – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

“Atletico are an outsider because Diego Simeone has matchwinners in Luis Suarez and Griezmann in addition to the remarkable team spirit he’s fostered.”

Tammy Abraham ‘fits the bill’ as an Arsenal signing, says Winterburn

With Arsenal interested in the signature of Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham, they have been told by their hero, Nigel Winterburn that the England international fits the profile of a potential signing for the club.

Tammy Abraham looks set to leave Chelsea this summer as the Blues continue their pursuit of Erling Haaland. He is also out of favour at the club with lack of playing time. He earned 22 Premier League appearances last term, scoring six goals which is not enough for him.

Reacting to the news, Winterburn said (via Goal): “He certainly would fit the bill of recent Arsenal signings, young with a point to prove.

“People will question his consistency but what you want is for these young players to get a run in the team.

“Is he going to get a run in a team if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is playing well? Probably not unless Aubameyang can be switched to the left-hand side – although you then need to leave out either Nicolas Pepe or Bukayo Saka.

“With Abraham, there’s potential there and development for a young, young player. So, I think it’s an option [for] Arsenal, although with Alexandre Lacazette being linked with a move away, it could be just a name that has been thrown into a hat.”

He will replace French striker, Alexandre Lacazette who is also opened to leaving the Emirates Stadium for £15 million after scoring 17 goals in all competitions last season.

When asked about Lacazette, Winterburn continued: “Arsenal shouldn’t sell Lacazette unless they’ve got an upgrade in place. I wouldn’t let him go until we have secured another striker. I’ve said that all along.

“Lacazette is a different striker to anything Arsenal have at the club. When he’s in top form, he holds the ball up well, his link-up play is good.

“I suppose his strike rate is not the very, very best of what you want, but then we are not at the very, very top of the league either at the moment as well.

“So personally, at the moment, I don’t want to see him go, unless we’ve got someone coming in that’s going to excite me.

“I wouldn’t let him go and then we haven’t got anybody else to bring in. For me, that’s just way too risky.”

He’s been linked with a surprise move across London. Reports have suggested Arsenal are monitoring his situation and could make an offer if Chelsea decide to leave him leave.
