Declan Rice: Chelsea gets transfer blow from Arsenal legend
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has handed a major transfer blow to Chelsea as West Ham United star Declan Rice has been told not to consider a move to the West London club.
While Declain Rice will have ‘a lot of takers’ this summer, he has been urged to sign a new contract and remain with West Ham United for the new season.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is keen to revive the Blue’s bid for Rice after Frank Lampard’s pursuit failed last year but West Ham are still unwilling to let go of the England international despite a £80million price tag on their prized possession. They are willing to make him captain when Mark Noble departs at the end of next season.
Should Chelsea agree to pay the fee, the England international will become West Ham’s top earner in a six-figure deal.
“He was probably one of England’s best midfielders in the final,’ Parlour told talkSPORT when asked about rumours that Rice will sign a new contract.
“He’s a great player. I’m sure they will come to an agreement where he signs a new contract and that secures West Ham as well.
“So West Ham now will get top money for him if he does move on, a little bit like Jack Grealish when he signed a big five-year contract.
“Aston Villa know someone will have to pay big money now for Jack and Declan will be the same.”
The ex-Arsenal and England midfielder added: ‘I think it’s down to the player and I’m sure there will be a lot of takers for Declan Rice after the Euros he’s had as well.
“But I think one more season at West Ham wouldn’t do him no [harm], skipper as well. That’s a big thing for him.”
Meanwhile, Rice’s England team-mate, Grealish, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with Manchester City, with a deal of about £100million expected for the attacking midfielder.
Palour said “It’s great news for Villa fans if he does stay. We all know what a special talent he is
“But a deal will suit both parties when he does leave – if he does leave. I know reportedly Manchester City were in for him, Pep Guardiola said they’d spend £100million or whatever on him so that will be brilliant for Aston Villa in that respect and I’m sure Villa fans would be absolutely delighted and he’d still be a legend at Villa.
“Certainly, sooner or later, he probably will move on. I’m sure Villa fans will be realistic and understand that he does want to win trophies, that he wants to go to maybe a City where he’s going to challenge for Champions League trophies and the Premier League.”

What Arsenal didn’t know about Gabriel Jesus revealed by former manager

Gabriel Jesus’ former Palmeiras coach, Cuca, whole speaking to Telegraph Sport disclosed key qualities about Gabriel Jesus that Arsenal may not have known about him before now.
The Brazilian joined Arsenal from Man City for a fee of £45 million and has delivered two goals in as many games.
However, his former manager at Brazil has revealed what might not be known about the striker.
“This is a boy that leaves everything in training, so much so that sometimes I had to ask him to relax a little bit,” Cuca, Jesus’ coach at Palmeiras, told Telegraph Sport. “He is a different kind of centre-forward,” Cuca explained.
“He is a dream come true for any coach, tactically speaking, he combines speed and strength, so he can adapt to any role you ask him. A player like him cannot be restricted to one side of the pitch.”
Arsenal fans have different feeling with Jesus and the Emirates Stadium agog watching him display and goals for the team.
His ability to find pockets of space, movement, dribbling, eye for a pass and finishing all blend together into Arteta’s perfect striker, with the Brazilian already forming a strong relationship with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

“One or two signing” claim made by Pundit about Arsenal as Edu gets plea

Football Pundit Dean Jones has pleaded with Arsenal technical director Edu to make one or two more signings before the end of the summer window for.
The North London outfit have so far, signed Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira but there are indications that they are not done yet.
According to reports, manager Mikel Arteta’s target is a midfielder and a winger as he hopes to return to the Champions League after this season, in addition to winning a title.
Speaking to Give Me Sport, Jones – a journalist for Eurosport – claimed that ‘one or two more signings’ from Edu would be welcome.
He said: “It just shows the benefits of getting your business done early and having a full pre-season with your first-choice XI.
“One or two more signings gives Arsenal real depth that they still need. I mean, their starting XI is pretty much as good as almost anyone in this league at the moment. But those extra signings would seriously put them in the conversation for the top four. I think it’s too soon to consider them going any higher than that.”
So far, Arsenal have spent over £100 million in the summer window.

Manager confesses he wants to land Arsenal youngster

Hull City coach Shota Arveladze has confessed that his Championship side are interested in signing Salah Oulad M’Hand from Premier League giants Arsenal this month.
18-year-old Salah Oulad M’Hand is rated very highly at Arsenal, by Mikel Arteta in particular.
“Those are the names that are on our list,” Arveladze said today, confirming Hull’s interest in Salah alongside Fenerbahce’s Dimitrios Pelkas and Brentford striker Halil Dervisoglu.
“This is true, like we’ve been saying. (The deals are) at different stages; We have to agree on everything to make a deal.
“It may be that something is 50/50 or 80/20 and things can change in the space of a day. But these are the right names that we’re looking for, and we’ll have to see if it works.”
According to the Hull Daily Mail, Salah has already been offered the number 10 shirt at the MKM Stadium.
“Salah is a player I had watched from his time with the Dutch national team (at youth level),” explained Arsenal’s Head of Emerging Talent Yousuf Sajjad
“We knew of his quality. So, once he had left Feyenoord and an opportunity arose to bring him in on trial, we moved quick.
“You could see straight away there was something special about him. He had an injury-hit start last season but has shown his quality in almost every game he has played this season. I don’t even believe he has reached his best yet, there is still more to come.”

Pundit hints this player may have played his last game for Arsenal

Football Pundit Kevin Campbell has suggested that Nicolas Pepe may have played his final game for Arsenal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners striker suggested Pepe does not suit Mikel Arteta’s style of play.
The Ivory Coast international is already rumoured to be on his way out of the club with Lille reported to need his service on loan.
Since his £72 million move to Arsenal from the Ligue 1 outfit, Nicolas Pepe has failed to live up to expectations, a development that could mean his end at the Emirates Stadium.
“[He has] no long term-future at Arsenal,” Campbell told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“I think the manager has seen enough of Pepe, or should I say not enough from Pepe, whichever way you look at it.
“Pepe’s just got to play football. He’s young and his talent is unquestionable.
“I just think in the present regime with what you are asked to do at Arsenal with what Mikel Arteta wants he can’t do it, if I’m honest.
“Who has come in? Bukayo Saka has come in and he’s been Arsenal’s player of the season for the last two seasons outperforming a £72million signing.
“Pepe doesn’t have a future at Arsenal. I think he can go on loan, play some football and shine then hopefully somebody will put some money down for him and he can restart his career somewhere else.”

United in major advantage over Arsenal in midfielder chase

Man United seems to have a major advantage over Arsenal in their chase of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer transfer window.
Both Arsenal and Man United have indicated interest in signing the midfielder as the Moises Caicedo continues to impress for Brighton this season.
However, the Gunners seem set to lose out in the race as the player had earlier made his sentiment known by saying he dreamt of playing for the Red Devils.
This could be a major point of decision for the player as that could influence his response to both teams.
Speaking to The Athletic last year, Caicedo admitted: “My dream is to play for Manchester United. Antonio Valencia is an example to follow.
“With his strength and dedication, he was able to get to that level. That motivates me to keep working hard and do the right things.”
This could be a major blow to Arsenal as Mikel Arteta is understood to be willing to add another midfielder and a winger to the team.
The North London outfit have already spent over £100 million to bring in the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira and it is obvious that they are not done .

Arsenal could be set to beat United for winger’s signing after confession by the player

Arsenal could have a huge advantage over Manchester United in their race to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto this summer transfer window.
Both EPL clubs have been heavily linked with a move for the Wolves forward, who has impressed with his short spell with Wolves.
The priority for Mikel Arteta is a winger and a midfielder as he hopes to wrap up the busy summer window before the curtain is drawn.
However, the North London outfit may have been given a huge boost in their chances to land the 22-year-old.
Speaking to Talksport back in January 2020, he revealed that Arsenal used to be the side he would support growing up and that could help him wish to play in a club of his dream.
“Arsenal,” He said when pressed on his favourite team growing up. “Because with Arsene Wenger I thought they played – besides winning trophies – they played some very good football.”
“I watched the semi-finals and final.”
“If you want to be a football player, then you have to watch English football.” 👏
“My favourite team was Arsenal.” Neto told newsmen.
It’s now left for Arsenal to push for the deal as they will have to submit a batter offer than Man United.

Official: Arsenal complete one important signing from Juventus

Arsenal Women have completed the signing of Lina Hurtig from Juventus, making her their second arrival of the summer after goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese came in earlier in the window.
The versatile forward has been linked to the club since Nikita Parris left to join Manchester United.
Eidevall had been keen to bring in someone who adds to his vast wealth of attacking options that includes Ballon d’Or nominees Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema.
“Lina is an excellent forward who will bring power and dynamism to our game,” Eidevall said. “She has shone in the Champions League and international tournaments and we are delighted that she will be lining up for Arsenal moving forward.”
However,Hurtig has made a name for herself in the game with 19 goals in 58 appearances for Sweden, having made her debut back in 2014.
The 26-year-old also boasts of two league titles, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia while with Juve, as well as one Damallsvenskan title in her home country.
“It feels so great – I’m very happy to be here,” Hurtig said. “I’ve always, always wanted to play in England, and I’ve always been interested in English football, so it’s super exciting for me to be here. I know Arsenal are a great club, with great players and lots of quality, so I think I will enjoy it here.”

Arsenal legend has already endorsed Arteta’s top target Neto with these stunning words

Former Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has seemingly endorsed Wolves star.
Arsenal have had a busy summer window so far with five signings made so far but Mikel Arteta and Edu have confirmed that the club is still active and will bring in new faces before the end of the summer window.
It is understood that a winger and a midfielder is the major position the Gunners want to strengthen with Pedro Neto being linked.
Discussing the forward on Sky Sports, he said: “I like him [Pedro Neto] a lot. Especially the situation that he found himself in with (Raul) Jimenez being injured and Diogo Jota now playing for the other side tonight.
“It’s not easy to have everything on your shoulders. What I like is he’s not scared to beat people on the outside. I like it, he can cross with his right, finish with his left.
“He’s always looking to have a go and attack the defender – always on the front foot. It’s not easy to do this at such a young age, in a team where you’re not often in possession and dominating games. I think he’s performed extremely well.”
