David Moyes’ plan if West Ham United sign Jesse Lingard revealed

Man United are on the verge of parting ways with their midfielder Jesse Lingard and he is reported to favour a move to London outfit West Ham United.

He has not been favoured with playing time and he is keen have a fresh start while the Hammers are also interested in sealing the arrival of the English midfielder from Manchester United.

Jesse Lingard is therefore expected to join the London Stadium outfit a loan deal as he has until the summer of 2022 on his existing deal at Old Trafford and a market value of £9m according to Transfermarkt.

During the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, ExWHUemployee shed some light on a plan which Moyes may have for Lingard if he is signed.

He said: “Lingard is obviously seen [as] that he can play across the midfield as well as central midfield, they almost see him a bit like a [Robert] Snodgrass replacement.

“Someone that can come in mainly for the wings but also can play in the centre. There is some talk that he could potentially also play upfront. Mainly because Moyes has got a track record, as with [Marko] Arnautovic and [Michail] Antonio, of converting wingers to forwards.

“They believe that Lingard does have some of the traits that could be used in that role. He’s pacey, he runs a lot, he runs the channels, he is quite skilful, not a bad shot on him when needed.

“I don’t think he’s being [brought in] to be a striker, but with [Andriy] Yarmolenko, [Ademipo] Odubeko and potentially Lingard, there are some options that you could use if Antonio was injured.”

The 28-year-old midfielder has played as a centre-forward on eight occasions, in those eight games, he has bagged two goals and provided no assists.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskajer had spoken on the future of Jesse Lingard, saying that ”So, of course he wants to play football, we will have to sit down with Jesse and make a decision on what we’re going to do.

“I will sit down and see if anything comes up. I’m very happy to have him around us as I known he could have played today and done well”

Manchester United planning move for 23-year-old attacking midfielder

Manchester United are long-term suitors of Bournemouth versatile midfielder David Brooks and they are already planning to bring him to Old Trafford to beat other interested clubs.

The Red Devils might be planning for the departure of France international Paul Pogba with this move as the World Cup winner is obviously unhappy.

The former Juventus midfielder has also fueled speculations of his move away from Old Trafford on several occasions, alongside his representatives with Real Madrid and Juventus considering the option of cashing in on him.

Man United have succeeded in extending the contract of the France international to the summer of 2021 but that does not mean he would not leave the club if he desires and the right offer is tabled.

The 23-year-old is no doubt an interesting talent that could fill the gap and also prove to be a future of the club knowing that he is very much younger.

David Brooks was out of action in most of the games last season due to injury as he had just nine games which can be traced t why the Cherries suffered relegation to the Championship.

Missing out of action in most games last season does not rule out David Brooks as a great player and that has not reduced the interest in him by several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool are also believed to be interested in the signature of David Brooks, alongside Everton and Leicester City with his return to the top flight being discussed.

His quality was hailed and confirmed by Man United legend Ryan Giggs who claims the 23-year-old has all it takes to play at the biggest stage.

“He wasn’t available for the first game, but it was great for him to join up later in the week and start the second game,” said Giggs. “He’s a very talented player. He ended the season playing a lot of games, but it’s a long time out.

“I’ve seen there’s speculation about a lot of players. Brooksy’s obviously a talented player and now Bournemouth are in the Championship. I’ve always said it’s better if the lads are playing, and the higher the standard the better as well. But that isn’t always a given.” He added.

David Brooks could be the latest Bournemouth star to part ways with the club as long as the right offer is submitted with Man United keen to land him in the summer transfer window.

Solskjaer given transfer orders

Man United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reportedly given an order to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to offload a trio of players if he must land a new central defender.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen on a central defender to partner Harry Maguire after he failed to invest in that area in the last summer transfer window. Now they have reportedly set their eyes on Jules Kounde from Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla.

The Red Devils have been told that Jules Kounde will cost them a £60 m fee which means they will have to cash in from the sale of some players before anything positive can happen.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has, therefore, been instructed by Ed Woodward to do away with three out-of-favour players at Old Trafford.

The club outcast, Sergio Romero tops the list alongside Phil Jones. There are assurances that the first duo could leave before the end of the transfer deadline.

Jules Kounde is also on the radar of other clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus which means Man United must do more to be able to land him.

Sergio Romero has already told the club he wants to leave after going down the pecking order.

He was stopped from a move to Everton in the summer and his wife blasted the club for that “Sergio Romero worked hard for his club.

The last trophy they won, they lifted it with him. He helped the team [reach] 4 finals/semifinals, and then he was left on the bench only to lose them all. It is time to return the opportunity and let him go. RESPECT FOR ONCE.” She wrote on her social media page.

“He said to me: ‘Look, now the season is over and everyone has a few days off. Then we go to play the Europa League… I’m not going to count on you because you haven’t trained for four months’.”

He added on his future plans: “My idea is also to try to stay at Estudiantes. I played a game, got injured and all of this happened.

“That is why I will see in September if the loan can be extended and continue for a few more months.”

How Rivaldo advised Gabriel Veron against Man United

Published

Gabriel Veron has been advised by Barcelona legend Rivaldo not to consider a move to Man United, and make a move to Man City.

This remains a big blow to the Red Devils in their chase of the 18-year-old Brazilian

Gabriel Veron has grabbed a lot of eyeballs since breaking into the Palmeiras first-team setup in 2019.

He has continued to impress with consistency over the past 18 months at the Allianz Parque, the reason why he is attracting interests from top clubs of in the world.

The likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have all indicated interest in the 18-year-old, but Premier League duo Manchester City and Manchester United are at the front row with the Citizens now favourites as advised by Brazilian legend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on a right wing player as he was unable to land England international winger Jadon Sancho.

This is the reason why Solskjaer invested in the signature of Amad Diallo from Atalanta as a solution for the future, while Facundo Pellistri has been pencilled down for the future as well as he has been sent out on loan.

Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez are the only natural wingers with Pep Guardiola and that could mean a chance for the Brazilian as they have been handed a major advantage with the advice by football legend Rivaldo.

Rivaldo has urged Veron to snub Manchester United and instead join Manchester City.

The Barcelona legend said,

“There are strong rumours that Manchester United and Manchester City are chasing Gabriel Veron’s signing from Palmeiras and I think that the Manchester club that wins this particular fight will be properly rewarded.”

“Veron has lots of talent and a bright future ahead so it’s no coincidence to see two big English clubs chasing him, and he could perform for either club without problems. If he has the choice between the two clubs, I suggest City because they are the more stable club nowadays, with a solid tactical system implemented by Pep Guardiola, which is not the case with Manchester United, despite also being a fantastic club.”
