Could Beek be leaving United after Solskjaer Confession?

Published

on

There are fears that Donny van de Beek could end up leaving Man United if the current situation at the club continues as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now admitted that the player is unhappy at Old Trafford.

The Netherlands international only started just two Premier League matches since making a move from Ajax and tipped to move into the team for a regular playing time but that has not happened yet.

Former players and pundits have argued that the player is unhappy at the club and should find his way out but that was dismissed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who claims to have held talks with Donny van de Beek and assuring that he is happy.

Now he has admitted that the player is unhappy as a result of the bench roles and that could lead to his exit if it continues.

“I wouldn’t say that Donny is happy,” Solskjaer said. “Of course, he wants to play more, but he gets about his job in the right manner.

“We are doing well and have got players who are playing really well in his position.”

“He reminds me a lot about myself, when I first came in, that he understands my difficulties and challenges,” the Norwegian continued.

“I was the same with Sir Alex [Ferguson, former Man Utd head coach]. When he left me out I understood and I was happy for the team to win – and Donny is that type of guy.

“He knows he is important for us and knows he is going to play many games.”

Before the Sunday’s FA Cup 3-2 win against Liverpool, Solskjaer promised that Van de Beek would see the pitch at Old Trafford and backed him to make a major impact.

“He will definitely be involved in this game against Liverpool and he might be the deciding factor in the game,” Solskjaer had said.

“He trusts his own quality. He is a quietly confident guy who deep down knows he is good enough and is just waiting for his opportunity.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer boasts of the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes playing a major role in central midfield ahead of the former Ajax star.

Former manager Sven Goran Eriksson has urged Man United to attempt a swap deal with Donny van de Beek to sign Cody Gakpo in January.

The Red Devils have been linked with the PSV star, who is currently staring at the World Cup and a move for him is expected to happen in January.

His stock rose in the World Cup because of his impressive performance and goal rate with Netherlands at the World Cup.

However, Man United have been tipped to land Cody Gakpo as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former England boss said Donny van de Beek, who is a flop at Old Trafford should be allowed to go the othér way in order to make the deal easy with PSV.

‘We’re talking about two very good players and I believe it could be a great deal for both parties. It would make perfect sense,’ Eriksson told Football Betting.

‘Gakpo is a dynamic attacker and direct – just what United need – and for one reason or another Van de Beek just hasn’t been suited to England and the Premier League.

‘Erik ten Hag knows all of these players and if he thinks a swap deal is a good idea then why not?’

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has told his former club not to expect to side Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund despite their interest.

According to him, Manchester City have the advantage in the race to sign Jude Bellingham if he is to make a move to the English Premier League.

Jude Bellingham has emerged as one of the brightest prospects and now the most sort-after player in the World Cup but his destination is unknown despite claim by his owners that they will not stand in his way.

‘I think he will [join Manchester City], yeah,’ Ferdinand said on the Vibe with Five YouTube channel.

‘And then I’ll go to Madrid and I’ll do the same there in a few years.’

Piers Morgan finally reveals if Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Saudi Arabia club or not

Published

on

Piers Morgan has finally opened up on the speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a record-breaking deal to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

The Arsenal fan who recently granted an interview with the veteran player, said the report is untrue.

Ronaldo had parted ways with the Red Devils while at the World Cup after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

He had slammed the Red Devils, former teammates and the management of the club before his exit.

However, as a free player, reports claimed the Portuguese superstar had received a contract offer worth €500million (£432m), with Marca claiming on Monday that Ronaldo has now agreed to the terms and will join Al-Nassr on January 1.

However, Morgan – who is in frequent contact with Ronaldo after their explosive interview – insists the reports are wide of the mark and tweeted, “Again, Not true”.

According to Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo is still good for the Champions League as he hinted the former Real Madrid and Juventus star will remain in Europe.

‘He thinks that if he does well at this World Cup, he’ll get what he really wants, which is a club in the Champions League that extends his record and his legacy,’ Morgan told the Daily Telegraph.

‘It’s not about money at this stage of his career. It comes down to a burning desire to play football at the highest level, to break records and win trophies. And he has done that in more countries than any other player in history.’

Former Man United attacker Odion Ighalo ‘hopes’ Cristiano Ronaldo joins him in the Saudi Arabian Professional League.

Although he claimed that the Portuguese international could decide to stay in Europe and move to a Champions League club.

Ronaldo, who is currently in Qatar with Portugal’s World Cup squad, is searching for a new club after being released by Man United last month.

Reports claim that Al-Nassr have offered him £150m a season to join them on a three-year deal but that is yet to be confirmed by the forward.

Nigerian striker Ighalo plays for Al Hilal and wants Ronaldo to join him in Saudi Arabia, although he admits he will likely remain in Europe and join a Champions League club.

‘Cristiano Ronaldo is hugely ambitious, and I think he will want to play in a Champions League team and end his career well, but you never can say,’ Ighalo told The Athletic.

‘He has the decision to make. I wish him all the best in that decision, and hopefully, he does come to Saudi Arabia.

‘I would love for him to come to Saudi because he would boost the league and add more fanbase to the league. People who aren’t already watching will start to engage with the league and see something they are missing.’

United humbled in their bids to sign Gakpo with these words from Van Dijk

Liverpool defender Vrigil van Dijk aimed a brutal dig at Manchester United after reports that they want to sign PSV forward Cody Gakpo.

In his analysis, he said the Red Devils have little chance of signing Cody Gakpo when the PSV forward opts to leave the Eredivisie club.

According to him, Man United do not belong to the same level as Real Madrid and may not be able to compete for the signature of the forward.

The versatile forward’s value is believed to have sky rocketed over the course of the last 10 days as a result of his performance in the World Cup.

Van Dijk believes United will have little chance of competing for his signature should the European elite enter the running.

‘Are Manchester United and Real Madrid on the same level?’ said Van Dijk when informed of the increasing interest in Gakpo from Europe’s heavyweight clubs. ‘No disrespect, not at all.

‘I definitely think he has that next step in him. I definitely feel like it could happen, whether that is in the winter or the summer or next year, time will tell.

‘He is a great boy who works hard, very talented and definitely there is more in him. We are so pleased he is doing so well for us. Long may it continue.’

Casemiro has continued to impress with at Qatar as he scored the only goal in Brazil’s victory over Switzerland on Monday, which assured the South Americans of a place in the knock-out stage of the World Cup with a match to spare.

Gabriel Jesus insisted the Manchester United star 30-year-old has repeatedly demonstrated his all-around game.

“If you go to Google and watch Casemiro’s games for Real, you will find what he is all about. He went there and scored a lot.

“I have played with some good midfielders and I put Fernandinho in there as well. But I have spent a lot of time with Casemiro and he is just an amazing player.

“Some people don’t understand that and don’t give him a lot of respect. But I do because I played with him for such a long time and know how good he is.”

He continued: “He will definitely be a good signing for United because of his quality and the way he works. It is just amazing. He is just so focused all the time,” Gabriel Jesus continued.

“He’s like ‘don’t lose, don’t give the ball away’. It has been the same everywhere he’s been – that’s why he has been so successful. If you are a player who loves to work and wants to follow a winner, then he is a great influence.”

United’s fate might have been decided in chase of Jude Bellingham

Published

on

It is understood that the fate of Man United in the chase of Jude Bellingham might have been decided as the player is considering staying at Borussia Dortmund until the end of his contract in 2025.

Bellingham, 19, is one of the most in-demand players in world football and United wanted him to join and make up the flop by Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils face competition from Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid for the youngster who has scored 19 goals in 112 games for Dortmund since joining from Birmingham City in 2020.

However, should he decide to leave Borussia Dortmund, United seems to have lost out already as Premier League champions Manchester City are emerging as favourites.

British agent Haydn Dodge claims Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, who played alongside Bellingham at Dortmund, are desperate for the midfielder to move to the Etihad and could influence his decision.

“Bellingham may actually wait and move for free,” Dodge told Caught Offside.

“I know it’s crossed his mind, but I also know that Erling Haaland and Phil Foden have been in his ear about moving to Manchester City.

“Haaland is absolutely desperate to link back up with him again and when it comes to Foden, it’s clear to see how well he gets on with Bellingham, England fans saw that for themselves last night against Wales.”
