Agent confirms ‘There’s nothing real going on’ Giovanni despite Man United rumours

Speculations have linked Manchester United with a swoop for Giovanni Di Lorenzo, but the star’s agent has insisted that ‘there’s nothing real going on’.

This has been made public by respected journalist, Fabrizio Romano as he reported the comments of the Euros winners’ agent.

He added that there are no negotiations at the moment with Man United that will warrant a move for Di Lorenzo away from Napoli.

Di Lorenzo has been impressive with the Italian national team and helped win the Euro 2020 at the weekend. The 27-year-old took the starting right-back spot from Alessandro Florenzi and hasn’t looked back since.

The Napoli full-back, according to Fabrizio Romano will sign a contract extension until the summer of 2026, making it impossible for the Red Devils to win his signature this summer.

“Napoli are ready to extend Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s contract until June 2026, the agreement set to be signed in the next weeks – it’s almost done. No Man Utd negotiations as of today. ? #Napoli

“There’s nothing real going on with Manchester United”, his agent just confirmed. #MUFC” Fabrizio Romano wrote.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to continue with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot for the position if they remain at the club but he will allow for a competition between the two to get the best for a starting role.

Di Lorenzo’s impressive performance for Roberto Mancini at the Euros is never a surprise after a enjoyed a wonderful season with Napoli and contributed four goals and eight assists.

Now that it is certain Man United will not be landing the Italian star, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to decide, either to settle with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot for the right-back position or shift attention to other options as the summer transfer window is still opened.

Man United are hoping to land Raphael Varane, who is regarded as a better option.

Legend ignores Man Utd, names six teams that can win champions league

Danny Murphy

Experienced legend, Danny Murphy has listed the six clubs he thinks can win the Champions League this season.

His list include title holders Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. However, Manchester United was not mentioned.

Danny Murphy predicts English clubs could be a dominant force in Europe this campaign, with Chelsea hoping to defend the title they won after beating Manchester City in last season’s champions league final.

For Liverpool, they reached successive Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019 and would be eager to challenge for another this seasonn.

Danny Murphy insists Manchester City are one of the favorites as with Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, PSG and Atletico Madrid.

Asked which teams he expects to challenge for the Champions League title, Murphy told MailSport:

“I personally think the winners will come from one of six – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG.

“Atletico are an outsider because Diego Simeone has matchwinners in Luis Suarez and Griezmann in addition to the remarkable team spirit he’s fostered.”

Why Man Utd may not win trophy

Rio Ferdinand, has said the Manchester United inexperience could stop themfrom winning the Champions League this season.

Man United manager has brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer, as he seeks to win his first title at Old Trafford.

However, the team have not won any silverware since the Europa League final in 2017.

Their rivals, Liverpool and Chelsea have won both the Premier League and Champions League while Manchester City have won last season’s fina, their third league title in four years under experienced coach Pep Guardiola.

“I think Man United’s not a problem, but where they’re behind the other three English teams, is the experience of winning things.

“All the other three English teams have won things, whether it be the Champions League or the Premier League. Man United have yet to do that as this group.

“That’s where they are lacking, and that’s where they’ve got to play catch up and they’ve got to do that this season. The transfer window for them has been impeccable, but that’s got to translate into trophies,” Ferdinand told BT Sport.

What Solskjaer said about Man Utd 2-1 defeat to Young Boys

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lambasted his side following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on yesterday.

Manchester United began their Champions League campaign with a shock loss to Young Boys.

The Red Devil took the lead when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his third goal since he returned to Old Trafford.

Later on, the game turned around after Aaron Wan-Bissaka received a straight red card for his challenge on Christopher Martins.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has lay blames on his team following a 2-1 defeat to Young Boys on Tuesday.

The Switzerland side eventually drew level, thanks to Moumi Ngameleu’s strike.

The match should have been a draw but Lingard tried to find David de Gea but his pass found Theoson Siebatcheu.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seriously warned his squad that they must learn from their mistakes if they are to avoid an early exit from the championship competition.

“A lack of concentration, you make a mistake and you get done. We did that last year, conceding two sloppy counter-attacks against Basaksehir and lost that game in the last seconds today.

“So we know we’ve given ourselves a more difficult task. We did last year when everyone thought we were through after two games.

“You need 10 or 12 points: win your home games and one away from home. We’ve lost the opportunity to get three points, but we’ve got two home games next and got to focus on those two,” Solskjaer said after the game.
